Website Instructions / Info

If you cannot find the info you are looking for please contact us with any questions or concerns.  We have put together this site with the belief that it will better the exchange experience, and provide a place for students to go, upon their return.  By connecting our community, we will be able to better serve one another, and give back to the very thing that gave us so much! 

 

Why Register By Registering for this site, you are becoming part of a larger society.  One that is built on the belief that by working together, we can spread peace and understanding long after we have returned from our years abroad.  It is also a means for us to volunteer, give back, stay connected, and show the world what it means to have been an exchange student.  

 

How to Register:  Under the log in section on the left click on REGISTER.  Fill out as much information as you can.  This info is kept private and will not be used for any purpose that you do not select.  Please remember that if you wish to volunteer, be recruited by universities or companies or post your resume you must select these options.  You can at any time after registration go back and edit your profile to activate or deactivate your e mail status.  Your information will not be sold or distributed.  

 

How to use Private Mail System (PMS): To use the Private messaging system that is attached to each user, you must first create a contact with that person.  This can be accomplished under the profile screens and manage connections.  If you would like to connect with someone to take advantage of the PMS simply click on their picture and proceed from there.  If you need further instruction on this, or if you notice a flaw, please contact us immediately.  

 

Register as a Volunteer: To register as a volunteer open your profile through ICEF.  (user menu) 
Once you have your user open, click update profile.  Under the tab for Volunteer, you will see a series of boxes to either check yes or no.  Even if you have not had any experience with the type of volunteer work you would like to do, click on the selection and someone will be in contact with you.  We are always looking for new ways to give back, so if you see an opportunity we have missed, please contact us with your idea!  Please check back frequently as this site is very dynamic and constantly changing.  

 

Update Your Exchange InfoIn order to maintain the integrity of the site, we ask that you provide as much information as possible on your exchange year.  Remember, as much as you may be searching for someone, the chances of someone seeking you out is also great.  Please see our privacy information with regards to use of the information you provide, and remember, our goal is to make everything we participate in be beneficial to the student, former student, Rotarian, parent, or host family.
